Papa DJ, a.k.a. Donato Papadia, began his career in 1973 as a disc jockey. After years working in clubs helping to shape the history of Italian disco, he moved to Monte Carlo, where he deejayed at Jimmiz, one of the Principality’s iconic venues.
Thereafter, he took up as resident deejay at the Buddha Bar in Monte Carlo, where he remains today.
A composer of musical programs such as “Buddha Bar” for Rmc and Rmc2, Papa DJ has published various compilations. He has deejayed different events in Monte Carlo, as well as in other parts of Europe, Asia, Russia, and the United States.
He founded PAPA.DIA RECORDS to promote artists and has collaborated with MULTIFORCE. Papa DJ is also known for his deep knowledge of ethnic and international music.
PAPA DJ plays also now for the radio format “VIBES OF BUDDHA-BAR BEACH” on Radio Porto Montenegro.
